About Dr. Williams

Dr. Myreon Williams is a board-certified nephrologist who cares for patients with chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, and electrolyte and mineral disorders. Trained in internal medicine and nephrology, he looks after the whole patient rather than a single lab value — because kidney disease almost never arrives alone. It travels with diabetes, with blood pressure that will not come down, with a heart under strain, and it is usually found on a routine blood test long before anyone feels unwell.

That early window is where a nephrologist matters most. Much of Dr. Williams' work is with patients who have just learned their kidney function is slipping and want a straight answer about what it means: what the numbers actually say, which medications help and which quietly hurt, what changes at the dinner table, and what the realistic path looks like over the next several years. For most people the honest answer is more reassuring than they expect, and the plan is one they can live with.

He sees patients at Kidney Hypertension Clinic's Monroe, Winder, and Athens offices, so families in Walton, Barrow, and Clarke counties — including Loganville, Bethlehem, Statham, Winterville, and Watkinsville — can see a kidney specialist close to home instead of making the drive into metro Atlanta. He is board-certified in nephrology and licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, and works alongside the same nephrology team, dietitians, and care coordinators that Kidney Hypertension Clinic has built across Northeast Georgia over more than thirty years.

New patients are welcome at all three offices, and Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans are accepted.
