About Dr. Georgescu

Dr. Florin Georgescu is a board-certified nephrologist with more than 20 years of experience caring for patients with kidney disease and high blood pressure. He provides comprehensive care for chronic kidney disease and hypertension, with particular attention to hypertensive chronic kidney disease.

Dr. Georgescu earned his Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Doctor of Medicine from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at the George Washington University Medical Center, and earlier served as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. Before joining Kidney Hypertension Clinic, he practiced for two decades with Kidney Specialists of Savannah.
